SaaS Purchasing Platform

What is

ServiceTitan

?

This ServiceTitan pricing guide is for any trade business looking to manage their projects more efficiently. We’ll discuss ServiceTitan costs, platform capabilities and subscription tiers, before comparing the solution with three alternative providers. We aren’t bound by vendor partnerships – we simply want to optimize SaaS spend management across the board.

What ServiceTitan can do for you

Freeing up time for more valuable workflows is a key purpose of most business software. Nowhere needs this more than the trade industries, where the strain of managing new leads, callouts, schedules, materials, marketing, finances and more can be overwhelming for employees often working on their own.

ServiceTitan is an all-in-one management platform for contractors to capture more leads, grow their business, and maximize productivity. The platform is designed to build greater levels of speed and visibility into construction workflows, aiding employees in central office, in transit, and out in the field.

The platform comes in two formats — one targeting commercial contractors, and another for residential. Both platforms break their features down into the same four categories:

Front Office

Improve front office performance by providing your team with the tools to communicate seamlessly with field workers and customers:

  • Create branded, professional proposals and quotes to impress new leads and secure more projects, tailoring each contract to individual customer needs;
  • Automate scheduling from the moment a customer books with you;
  • Maximize efficiency with tools that automate recurring services to enjoy a 21% increase in service agreement renewals;
  • Assign jobs quickly and address any scheduling curveballs with ease through web, chat and call booking processes;
  • Gain a clear picture of who’s working when and where;
  • Capture and manage new work orders from third-party providers;
  • Listen to how your staff interact with customers via call recording to learn about improvements to customer service;
  • Optimize marketing budgets to ensure a conveyor belt of new leads.

Field Operations

Arm your team with tools needed to boost revenue and efficiency at every job:

  • Leverage ServiceTitan technician and inventory apps to maximize productivity on-site and in the warehouse;
  • Keep technicians prepared with important equipment details and history;
  • Build, present and sell pricing estimates to customers out in the field;
  • Restock truck inventory by sending purchase orders from your device and link equipment availability to specific jobs;
  • Track field events including work time, idle time, and more.

Client Experience

Deliver a modern client experience designed to increase and retain your customers:

  • Use the client portal to provide a personalized experience to all customers;
  • Keep labor costs accurate and clients informed of pricing in real time;
  • Send and receive SMS notifications to all your customers and keep them notified through CRM integrations;
  • Simplify payment processes and new work requests;
  • View equipment, customer insights, and invoices all in one place.

Management Insights

Gain valuable insights into company performance alongside the solutions you need to carry out improvements:

  • Use automations to track materials and inventory levels across the whole business;
  • Track project progress and profits in real time;
  • Automate accounting tasks and gain useful financial insights — then easily export invoices, payments and bills to QuickBooks;
  • Gain a clearer picture of expenses and profit margins while on the job to ensure every project is on budget;
  • Use features that improve payroll satisfaction among your employees by 1.5x;
  • Visualize your data and track KPIs with customizable reports and dashboards.

ServiceTitan pricing structures and tiers

ServiceTitan pricing is hidden online — a common tactic software providers use to offer tailored quotes to prospective customers. Although this isn’t bad in and of itself, there is often a catch. Vendors typically look to establish lengthy terms during these SaaS contract negotiations, potentially locking subscribers into longer arrangements than necessary.

Our customer purchasing teams combat this approach by leveraging market intel on previous vendor sales. We then negotiate optimized contracts on your company’s behalf, using this information as bartering power.

Although specific ServiceTitan price points aren’t available, the company does publish brief details on its three subscription packages, as explained in the sections below:

ServiceTitan pricing — Starter

ServiceTitan’s opening tier is Starter — a plan providing the fundamental tools for any trade business. Features include dispatching, scheduling, call booking, invoicing and price book capabilities.

ServiceTitan pricing — Essentials

Added features on the Essentials plan include cost estimate capabilities via the ServiceTitan mobile app and a payroll management solution updating worker timesheets, accounting for overtime, and automating bonus distribution.

ServiceTitan pricing — The Works

The Works plan offers the full ServiceTitan suite, including advanced analytics and reporting, configurable payroll management, commission tracking, and customizable memberships to help boost customer retention.

ServiceTitan doesn’t currently offer a free trial of the platform, but new customers can request a personalized demo tailored to their business.

Additional ServiceTitan costs to consider

ServiceTitan subscriptions are purchased per technician, so any additional worker operating under the same plan will incur the same monthly or yearly fee.

Aside from this, it’s not clear whether there are any other additional costs to consider before purchasing a plan. In any case, we’ll help you negotiate the specific platform features your business needs at a price that reflects the current market while also assisting with contract renewal management when the time comes.

Other vendors offering construction management solutions

ServiceTitan isn’t the only provider of construction management software, and we have no vested interest in promoting one solution over another. With that in mind, here are three alternative ServiceTitan platforms to consider during IT procurement discussions:

ServiceTitan pricing vs Housecall Pro

Housecall Pro is a platform for home services business only, as opposed to ServiceTitan that accommodates commercial projects too.

As such, the solution lacks some of the features of ServiceTitan — for instance advanced marketing and CRM capabilities — but addresses all the technical needs of home service jobs.

Housecall Pro pricing is available online, with subscriptions offered in three tiers:

  • Basic ($49 per month for one user only) — Features include drag and drop scheduling, real-time dispatching, invoicing, price estimates, in-app chat and text notifications, price book management, time tracking, customizable dashboards, and mobile payment processing.
  • Essentials ($129 per month for up to five users) — Added features include QuickBooks and Zapier integrations, detailed reports, visual price book, equipment tracking, technician performance, email marketing, and live website visitor chat.
  • MAX (100+ users, contact for quote) — Added features include advanced reporting, accounts specialist, sales proposal tools, recurring service plans, and the ability to add users for $35 a month.

New customers can access a 14-day free trial.

ServiceTitan pricing vs Jobber

The Jobber platform is closer to ServiceTitan, in that it provides functionality for both residential and commercial contractors.

Jobber pricing is available online with more expensive plans than Housecall Pro, as follows:

  • Core ($69 per month for one user only) — Key features include the ability to schedule jobs, send quotes and invoices, process payments, and a 24/7 client self-service hub.
  • Connect ($169 per month for up to five users) — Added features include automated reminders and payments, 1-on-1 product coaching, QuickBooks integration and online bookings.
  • Grow ($349 per month for up to 15 users) — Added features include quoted add-ons, job costings and SMS alerts.

Jobber also offers a 14-day free trial to new customers.

ServiceTitan pricing vs FieldEdge

FieldEdge is closer to the Housecall Pro platform, designed for residential contractor use. Price points are hidden but subscriptions come in three tiers:

  • Select — Features include dispatching, scheduling, basic quoting, customer management and price books.
  • Premier — Added features include advanced dispatching, multi-option quotes, advanced service agreements, and ten saved report templates.
  • Elite — Added features include unlimited report templates, outbound call recording, two-way SMS, and access to the consumer management portal.

FieldEdge pricing doesn’t come with a free trial, opting instead for onboarding services.

ServiceTitan pricing — the Vertice verdict

ServiceTitan provides invaluable support to contractors working in residential or commercial trade environments. Its features target improvements to workflows in front office and field contexts, as well as improving the customer experience and offering team leaders management insights.

Of the three other platforms mentioned here, Jobber is the most similar, designed for both commercial and residential use. ServiceTitan pricing is hidden, but we expect it to be within Jobber’s range.

The Housecall Pro and FieldEdge platforms are more aligned with one another — both of these solutions are for residential workers only, with pricing for each reflecting this.

Whichever solution your business needs, we’re here to help. Our customer purchasing teams negotiate optimized contracts on your behalf, leveraging market intel on over 16,000 software vendors and their transaction histories.
